Collecting antique maps and prints is a very personal journey. Antique paper has been a great passion of mine for years now. I find nothing as lovely as the patina of old paper and the tactile aspects of the engraved line. I have often almost hated to frame certain pieces because I couldn’t hold them in my hand any more. The idea of all that was needed to produce these images really can not be reproduced today or if so it would be cost prohibited. However, there are some general rules to keep in mind when starting or expanding upon your collection.
